Roamvox is a voice translation app built to work offline. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
Roamvox does not collect, store, or transmit your voice recordings, translations, or translation history to any server. There is no user account, no login, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app.
Speech recognition and text-to-speech run using your device's built-in system services. Translation runs on-device using Google ML Kit's on-device translation models. The first time you use a language pair, the app downloads a translation model package for that language pair directly from Google's ML Kit infrastructure to your device — after that, translation works fully offline. This download uses your device's standard network connection; Roamvox itself does not operate any server and does not receive or log this traffic.
Your translation history and downloaded language packs are stored locally on your device only, using a local database. This data is never uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes it.
The only third-party component involved is Google ML Kit, which downloads on-device translation models to your device on first use of a language pair. Google's handling of that download traffic is governed by Google's own privacy policy. Roamvox does not share any additional data with Google or anyone else.
Roamvox does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
